WTC final 2023, IND vs AUS: Team India in trouble, end Day 2 at 151/5

Team India was pushed towards the wall on Day 2 of the WTC final at the Oval as Australia is in command of the ultimate Test.

Indian bowlers helped the subcontinental giants fight back on Day 2 as Australia lost 8 wickets for just 108 runs and were all out for 469. Mohammed Siraj the chief destroyer with 4 scalps.

India began strongly in reply as Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill put together a 30-run stand, before both openers were dismissed in consecutive overs.

Cheteshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli also went back cheaply as India found themselves wanting at 71/4.

Ravindra Jadeja and Ajinkya Rahane tried to steady the ship with a 71-run stand but Nathan Lyon got rid of a well-set Jadeja for 48 in his second over.

Rahane returned unbeaten on 29 as India ended Day 2 at 151/5, still trailing Australia by a mammoth 318 runs.
