Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly has become the latest to have his say on KL Rahul's place in Team India.
Speaking to PTI, the 50-year-old talked about Rahul's form and said that it is normal for any top-order batter to face criticism when they are not scoring runs.
He said, "Obviously you expect a lot more from a top-order batter playing for India because the standards set by others are so high."
However, Ganguly also backed Rahul's skills and believes that the 30-year-old will have to find ways to score when given the opportunity.
With Rahul failing to cross the 25-run mark in his last 10 Test knocks, the opener has already been stripped of the vice-captaincy with his spot in the side also under scrutiny.
