Zimbabwe & Netherlands have qualified for the T20 World Cup in Australia this year after defeating Papua New Guinea and the USA in the semis of Qualifiers B.
The USA, who were aiming to play their first global ICC tournament gave a tough fight to the Netherlands. Batting first, the Monank Patel-led side started brilliantly scoring a 51-run opening stand in just five overs. But the team failed to make it big as they were bundled out for 138 runs. The Dutch side easily chased down the target in just 19 overs.
On the other hand, Zimbabwe got the better of PNG to qualify for the T20 World Cup. The hosts, Zimbabwe chose to bat first and scored 199. The visitors fell short of the 200-run target and lost the match by 27 runs which paved the way for the African side to get into the World Cup.
