In a league of his own!

Indian weightlifter Jeremy Lalrinnunga blew away all the competition during his march to the Gold medal in the men’s 67 kg category.

The 19-year-old made a new Commonwealth Games record - lifting 140 kg in Snatch & 160 kg in Clean & Jerk to finish with a record total of 300 kg.

His dominance in his category can be highlighted by the fact that his next best competitor finished 7 kilos adrift of his score even when Jeremy was struggling with cramps and other injury-related problems in the clean and jerk event.
The boy from Mizoram gave India their second Gold at this year’s games, taking their overall medal tally to 5.
