CWG: Naveen crowned champion, wins 6th Gold for India in wrestling

There’s just no stopping India’s Gold rush in Wrestling at the Commonwealth Games.

Wrestler Naveen became the 6th Gold medalist for India in the discipline. He defeated Pakistan’s Mohd Sharif Tahir 9-0 in the Gold medal bout.

Naveen won 4 bouts on his way to Gold, and not even in one of them, he looked under pressure. Even in the final, his ultra-aggressive approach had his counterpart gasping for breath. It was like he always knew, the gold belonged to him.

And if the Commonwealth Games are an indication of what’s to come, the future looks very bright for the 19-year-old.
