A mannequin of Real Madrid's Brazilian winger Vinicius Jr was hung from a bridge in front of the club's training ground ahead of Real's meeting with city rivals Atletico in the Copa del Rey on Thursday.
The effigy of the 22-year-old that was accompanied by a banner reading 'Madrid hates Real' was wearing a no. 20 shirt.
While both the clubs called out the vile act, the Brazilian football player's spokesperson once again reiterated - he expects punishment for the culprits from the authorities.
Vinicius Jr said in December that La Liga needed to act over racists attending matches, while a section of Atletico fans sang racist songs aimed at the Brazilian before the Madrid derby in September.
Meanwhile, his team defeated city rivals Atletico 3-1 after extra time to reach the semifinals of the Copa del Rey. Rodrygo, Benzema and Vini scored for the Whites.
