Spanish club Barcelona are once again in the middle of a storm.
This time the Catalan giants are accused of paying Jose Maria Enriquez Negreira, the former Vice-President of the Technical Committee of Referees, €1.4m between 2016-18.
If the charges are proven, Barcelona may even face relegation or a points deduction.
Barcelona Prosecutor's Office has alleged that during the reign of former club President Josep Bartomeu, Barcelona paid 1.4 million euros to a company owned by Negreira.
While Negreira has denied that Barcelona received any preferential treatment from the referees, claiming that the money paid to him was for advisory work he carried out for the club. He, however, hasn't been able to produce a document to prove his claim yet.
