Several Brazilian protesters gathered outside the Spanish consulate in Sao Paolo in support of Vinicius Junior who was again allegedly subjected to racial abuse during Sunday's match between Valencia and Madrid.
Demonstrators who brought flares, banners and stickers that read, 'It is not football, it is racism' chanted 'La Liga is racist' outside the consulate.
Since the Spanish league season began in September, the Brazilian football star has suffered racist abuse by Spanish fans of at least five rival teams.
Earlier, Spanish police arrested seven people accused of racially insulting the Real Madrid player. Three were detained in Valencia for alleged abuse against Vinícius in a Spanish league match on Sunday. Four were arrested in Madrid for allegedly hanging an effigy of the player off a highway bridge in January.
La Liga officials also acted, fining Valencia 45,000 euros ($48,500) and closing part of the team's stadium for the next five games after the 22-year-old said he was abused in Valencia.
