Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo confirmed in an Instagram post on Friday that he wants to leave the club for Arsenal.

Caicedo posted the statement after the Seagulls rejected a £60m bid from the Gunners.

"I am proud to be able to bring in a record transfer fee for Brighton which would allow them to reinvest it and help the club continue to be successful," the 21-year-old wrote.

Brighton had reportedly turned down a £55m bid from Chelsea earlier and are hopeful of keeping the Ecuador international till the end of the season.
