Britain's richest man, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, has formally entered the race to buy football club Manchester United.
Ratcliffe, a boyhood United fan, owns Ineos - the world's 4th largest Chemicals company.
Ineos has been linked with a takeover of the English Premier League giants after current owners Glazer family announced last year they were willing to listen to offers. And now, the company has confirmed that they are officially part of the process.
Ineos already owns French side Nice and Lausanne Switzerland and last year Ratcliffe submitted a late and unsuccessful £4.25 billion bid for Chelsea.
