CHELSEA vs BLACKBURN ROVERS

Chelsea beat Blackburn Rovers 2-0 at Stamford Bridge in the Carabao Cup to set up a home quarter-final against Newcastle.

Benoit Badiashile opened the scoring in the 30th minute before Raheem Sterling sealed the game in the second half. The Blues won for the first time at home since a third-round victory against Brighton in late September.

LIVERPOOL vs BOURNEMOUTH

Liverpool too made it to the quarters following a 2-1 victory over Bournemouth on Wednesday night.

Darwin Nunez was the star for the Reds as he snatched victory in the 70th minute with a stunner.

MANCHESTER UNITED vs NEWCASTLE UNITED

Newcastle United avenged its Carabao Cup final defeat at Wembley as they thrashed holders Manchester United 3-0 and knocked the Red Devils out of the competition.

Substitute Miguel Almiron, Lewis Hall and Joe Willock scored a goal each as Newcastle claimed only its second Old Trafford victory over Manchester United since 1972.

ARSENAL vs WEST HAM UNITED

Arsenal had a similar fate as they were also knocked out following a 3-1 hammering in the 4th round by West Ham United.

An own goal by Ben White put West Ham ahead before they tripled their lead thanks to Mohammed Kudus and Jarrod Bowen.

The Gunners had a consolation goal in injury time but the match was done and dusted by then
