South American soccer body CONMEBOL announced on Friday that the United States will host Copa America 2024 and it will include six CONCACAF teams.
The decision was made after Ecuador decided not to organize the 2024 Copa America, as expected, due to public security issues.
CONMEBOL's 10 national teams will play the tournament during the Northern Hemisphere summer.
In addition to that, the United States, Mexico and Canada will co-host the men's World Cup in 2026.
Argentina are the defending Copa America and World Cup champions.
