It's been the news West Ham United fans have feared for some time, but captain Declan Rice appears to have played his last game for the club.
Club chairman David Sullivan said that the midfielder, who captained West Ham in their 2-1 victory over Fiorentina in the Europa Conference League final on Wednesday, has been promised he can leave the club and wants to go.
Rice has been linked with some of Europe’s top teams, including Arsenal and Bayern Munich, although Sullivan said West Ham have yet to receive an offer for their star player.
After lifting the clubs first trophy in over 40 years, the 24-year-old declared his love for West Ham but admitted he does not know whether he will still be at the club next season.
