Substitute Scott McTominay saved United the blushes with a 93rd-minute winner in a game that saw the Red Devils attempt 34 shots in total - the highest in a Europa League game this season.
United were wasteful all through the game, with Marcus Rashford alone failing to score from his 10 shots. Omonia’s stand-in goalkeeper Francis Uzoho was outstanding, making 12 saves in total but United’s finishing was simply horrendous till their injury-time winner.
The Old Trafford side stays 2nd in the group behind Real Sociedad.
