FIFA World Cup 2022: Brazil's Gabriel Jesus & Alex Telles ruled out

With Neymar still in doubt for the pre-quarterfinal game, Brazil suffered yet another blow as striker Gabriel Jesus has been ruled out of the FIFA World Cup 2022 due to injury.

Jesus aggravated his persistent knee problem during Brazil's 1-0 defeat against Cameroon on Friday. Apart from the Arsenal star Alex Telles also suffered an injury during their final group game and he too has been ruled out of the ongoing tournament.

Jesus will not only miss Brazil's remaining world cup fixtures but also several games when the Premier League resume on December 26. He is expected to make a  return by the end of January. 

During the ongoing quadrennial event, Brazil's Neymar, Jesus, Telles, and earlier Danilo and Alex Sandro suffered injuries.
