Ghana fought till the end to secure their first victory of the FIFA World Cup 2022 as they beat Group H opponents South Korea 3-2 in a nail-biting encounter at the Education City Stadium in Qatar, on Monday.
The Black stars were 2-0 up in the first half courtesy of goals from Mohammed Salisu and Mohammed Kudus in the 24th and 34th minute respectively.
However, the second half saw the Taeguek Warriors fight back in the game to level the score to 2-2 in the 61st minute as Cho Gue-sung scored an important brace for the Koreans.
Mohammed Kudus then went on to add his second goal of the day and give Ghana the valuable three points by scoring the winner in the 68th minute. This was the first time the Black Stars managed to score three goals in a World Cup match as well.
