FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 : Tunisia are coming into the World Cup as underdogs in Group D, which comprises reigning champions France, dark horses Denmark and a spirited Australian side.
Tunisia will be aiming for their first knockout qualification in FIFA World Cup when they begin their campaign against the Danes on November 22 in Qatar.
But the Eagles of Carthage are a resilient bunch who qualified for the World Cup with a 1-0 win over Mali in March - two months after their manager Mondher Kebaier was replaced by assistant coach Jalel Kadri.
Tunisia will pin their hopes on 31-year-old Wahbi Khazri, who is the only Tunisian to score multiple goals at a World Cup. The Montpellier forward found the net twice in 2018 against Panama and Belgium.
Seifeddine Jaziri could be another attacking option for Tunisia. The Zamalek striker won the Golden Boot at the 2021 FIFA Arab Cup after scoring four goals.
Meanwhile, all eyes will be on Hannibal Mejbri as well given the Manchester United midfielder is making waves during his loan spell with Birmingham City and will be looking to score his first goal for Tunisia at the World Cup.
The 2004 African champions have never made it out of the group stage in their last five World Cup finals appearances. Can they make history on their sixth try? Only time will tell.
