German footballer Kai Havertz completed his move across London by joining Arsenal from Chelsea in a deal reportedly worth 65 million pounds.
Confirming the development, Arsenal said the 24-year-old had joined on a long-term contract. Havertz is Mikel Arteta's first signing of the summer after Arsenal finished runners-up in the Premier League last season.
Meanwhile, Tottenham completed the signing of England midfielder James Maddison from Leicester City.
Spurs entered advanced talks with the recently relegated Foxes earlier this week and secured Maddison in a deal worth 40 million pounds plus add-ons.
Maddison has agreed a five-year deal with the club and becomes new Tottenham coach Ange Postecoglou's third arrival of the summer.
