In a first for Indian football, the semifinals and finals of the Santosh Trophy will take place overseas.
The All India Football Federation (AIFF) announced that knockouts of the National Football Championship will be played at the King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh, the capital city of Saudi Arabia from March 1-4.
In the final rounds of the Santosh Trophy, 12 teams have been divided into two groups of six each.
They will face each other in a round-robin format & the top two teams from each group will become the first teams in the Santosh Trophy to play on foreign soil.
