Argentina star and World Cup-winning footballer Lionel Messi has reportedly confirmed that his next stop after leaving Paris Saint Germain would be Inter Miami.
In an interview with a Spanish news outlet, Messi said that he planned to sign a contract with the MLS team, which is partially owned by David Beckham. However, he further stated that he hasn't closed the deal 100% and that he is missing some things but he has decided to go to the United States.
Messi said, 'I made the decision that I am going to go to Miami, but I still haven't closed it 100%. I am missing some things but we decided to continue the path'
MLS too acknowledged Messi's decision in a statement and said, 'We look forward to welcoming one of the greatest soccer players of all time to our league', but also informed that no deal had been completed.
With this statement, Messi quashed the news of his return to Barcelona. The 35-year-old also snubbed a reportedly$500 million deal which would have made him join Saudi Arabia's Al Hilal
