The 1st leg of the UEFA Champions League semifinal saw Real Madrid score 3 goals against hosts Manchester City and still lose the game. The match with a 4-3 scoreline dazzled the fans at the Etihad as Manchester City won the 1st leg.
City were off to a clinical start with Kevin de Bruyne opening the scoring in the 2nd min of play. Gabriel Jesus doubled the lead with a goal in the 11th min as City raced to a 2-0 lead in no time.

Karim Benzema pulled one back just before the break as Manchester City went to half time with a slender 2-1 lead. The 2nd half was as crazy as the opening 45 mins with Phil Foden scoring for City early followed by Vinicious Junior who made it 3-2.
Bernardo Silva then scored for City to give them the comfort with a 4-2 lead. Benzema then returned to score a stunning penalty in the 82nd min giving hope to Real Madrid.
The 13-time winners were hoping for another goal but City denied them a chance to equalise as the match ended at 4-3 in the favour of the hosts. The 2nd leg will be played on 5th May at Santiago Bernabeu.
