Manchester United will fire manager Erik ten Hag irrespective of the FA Cup final's result on Saturday, The Guardian reported on May 24.
In an exclusive, The Guardian stated that this is United owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his allies' most significant decision and not even a win against Manchester City on Saturday can save Ten Hag from losing the job.
The Dutchman joined the Red Devils two years ago but has unable to secure a good finish for them this year, finishing 8th in EPL, their worst standing since 1990.
Manchester are looking at Thomas Tuchel, Mauricio Pochettino, Kieran McKenna, Graham Potter and Thomas Frank as potential replacements for 54-year-old.
The Guardian added in its report that on being approached, United declined to comment.
