Marco Verratti was officially unveiled as an Al Arabi player in Doha, Qatar on Wednesday, following his 45 million euro transfer from Paris Saint-Germain.
The 30 year-old Italy international midfielder had also been linked with a move into the Saudi Arabian top flight, but in the end he chose the Qatari Stars League and 7-time champions Al Arabi.
In an 11 year career with PSG, Verratti made 416 appearances - the second highest in the club's history - won the Ligue 1 title nine times and picked up 12 winners' medals in domestic cup competition.
He also has 55 caps for Italy and was part of the side that won the European Championship in 2020.
