The Juventus midfielder put out a statement, announcing he had been a victim of multiple extortion attempts by an organised gang that included his childhood friends and his brother.
Pogba said that he had been threatened by two hooded men armed with assault rifles, who demanded €13 million from him.
The former Manchester United midfielder has had a shaky start to his second stint in Italy.
