Police investigate crowd trouble at Man City-Liverpool game

Greater Manchester Police have arrested 2 men in relation to the crowd trouble that left 2 persons injured during Manchester City's 3-2 win over Liverpool in the English League Cup game.

While a 15-year-old girl required treatment for a head injury, a 53-year-old man was hospitalized after being assaulted outside the stadium. 

A number of objects, including coins and a smoke bomb were thrown during the match, the police confirmed. 

In a joint statement, the 2 clubs called the incident a huge disappointment and unacceptable, they added they'll work with police to hold people accountable.
