A brilliant goal from Belgian striker Kevin de Bruyne helped Manchester City beat Chelsea 1-0 in the clash of Premier League's table-topper at Etihad Stadium on Saturday.
As expected the encounter between the top teams in Premier League saw some intense moments but it produced only one goal as Chelsea remained compact and cautious in their approach.
The first half remained goalless as Jack Grealish failed to convert the easiest of chances.
Pep Guardiola's side has to wait till the 70th minute to take a lead when de Bryune made a curling strike from just outside the box. Chelsea showed no ambition after the City's goal on the night when they rarely threatened the opposition goalpost.
With the win, Manchester City extended their winning run to 12 games now and have a clear 13 points advantage over second-placed Chelsea on the Premier League points table.
