Liverpool vs Manchester City

Manchester City's hopes of challenging Arsenal for the Premier League top spot took a big dent on Sunday night as Liverpool beat them 1-0 at Anfield.

For a change, Erling Haaland couldn't score but Mohamed Salah proved to be the hero when he scored the lone goal of the game in the 76th minute. Salah's 6th goal in 11 League appearances against the Citizens proved to be the winner as Liverpool ended City's unbeaten run and beat the reigning champions.

Arsenal vs Leeds United

City losing proved to be a blessing for Arsenal, as Mikel Arteta's men further strengthened their top spot with a 1-0 win against Leeds United.

Bukayo Saka's opening goal in the first half was the only goal scored in the match. He now has four goals and five assists this season. Arsenal's 9 wins in 10 Premier League games took them 4 points clear of City at the top of the standings.

Chelsea vs Aston Villa

Mason Mount hadn't scored for Chelsea this season but on Sunday night he netted two to help his side beat Aston Villa 2-0 to continue Graham Potter's unbeaten start as manager.

The England international put the Blues ahead in just the 6th minute before sealing the game with a brace with 25 minutes left.

Victory helped Chelsea extend its unbeaten run in all competitions to 6 games.

Manchester United vs Newcastle United

Manchester United were held to a goalless draw by Newcastle United on Sunday night as Erik ten Hag's men slipped out of the top 4.

Cristiano Ronaldo, who had two second-half efforts disallowed, was visibly frustrated when he was replaced by Rashford 18 minutes from time. United now sit at the 5th spot with 16 points from 9 games.
