Liverpool overcame a spirited second-half fightback from Crystal Palace to win 3-1 on Sunday, closing the gap to nine points on Premier League leaders Manchester City.
Liverpool started with an early goal in the first half when Virgil van Dijk's header put the Reds 1-0 ahead in the 8th minute. They continued their barrage of attack in the first half and doubled the lead in the 32nd minute through a brilliant goal from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

With two goals down at halftime, Crystal Palace came out a different side in the second half and reduced the deficit by one as Odsonne Édouard found the back of the net in the 55th minute.
Eagles winger Michael Oliseh almost scored an equaliser in the 83rd minute but the Liverpool goalkeeper made an excellent save.
Liverpool then earned a penalty spot through a long VAR review in the 89th minute and Fabinho scored to make the scoreline 3-1.
After the win, Liverpool strengths their position on the EPL points table with 48 points, nine behind Manchester City while Palace are in the 13th spot with 24 points.
