Liverpool's hopes of breaking into the top 4 of the Premier League took a huge dent on Monday as Brentford beat the Blues 3-1.
Ibrahima Konate gifted Brentford the lead with an own goal in the 19th minute before Yoane Wissa doubled the lead just before halftime.
Though the Reds pulled one back straight after the break courtesy of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain but another error let Bryan Mbeumo in to seal the win in the 84th minute.
Though the Bees are still 1 spot below Liverpool at 7 on the table, they reduced the gap to just 2 points.
After the game manager, Jurgen Klopp said that Liverpool were simply outplayed by some dazzling football from Brentford.
