Defending champions Manchester City beat Arsenal 3-1 in the Premier League on Wednesday night to go top of the table.
Both City and Arsenal are now on 51 points each and while City are on top because of a superior goal difference, the Gunners do have a game in hand.
It was Kevin de Bruyne who started the scoring in the 24th minute with a superb strike after an error from Arsenal right-back Tomiyasu. Mikel Arteta's side then drew level before half-time, courtesy of a controversial penalty, which Bukayo Saka successfully converted.
In the second half, Manchester City dominated the proceedings. Jack Grealish finally found the net in the 72nd minute to give City the lead before Erling Haaland's goal 10 minutes later put the game to bed.
