Phil Foden's late goal helped Manchester City keep their Premier League title hopes alive as they defeated Everton 1-0 on Saturday night.

Everton defended brilliantly and kept Manchester City at bay till the 82nd minute when Foden netted Bernardo Silva's cross to give the Premier League leaders 1-0 lead.

Then a below-par City survived a huge Everton penalty claim when a potential handball in the box by their midfielder was checked by VAR.

After the win, Pep Guardiola's side are six points ahead of Liverpool with 66 points in 27 games.
