Pep Guardiola will be absent for two of Manchester City's upcoming games after undergoing "emergency" back surgery in Barcelona.
The 52-year-old has reportedly been struggling with "severe" pain, and he will remain in Barcelona for rehabilitation following a successful operation.
Guardiola will miss Sunday's Premier League trip to Sheffield United and a home game against Fulham on 2nd September, but the Spaniard is expected to return to duty after September's international break.
Assistant manager Juanma Lillo will take charge of the team in Guardiola's absence.
