Manchester City spiced up the top spot battle as they inched closer to Arsenal, the table leaders with a fighting 1-0 win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
After a below-par performance in the first half, Pep Guardiola's men buckled up in the second half. Though top scorer Erling Haaland did not turn up for the Citizens in the Chelsea game, Riyad Mahrez turned in Jack Grealish's low cross in the 63rd minute to help them win 1-0.

This was the 4th consecutive win for the visitors against Chelsea since losing the Champions League final to them in 2021. While Manchester City reduced the deficit to 5 points with Arsenal, Chelsea stay 10th.
