While the 37-year-old Portuguese star fired his 50th club hattrick with goals in the 7th, 32nd, and 76th minute, Kieran Dowell and Teemu Pukki scored a goal each after the first half. With the win, the team closed in on the Champions League qualification place as Red Devils now stand at the 5th spot in the EPL table.

On the other hand, Tottenham and Arsenal both faced a severe blow as they lost their Premier League matches against Brighton and Southampton respectively.
Brighton handed Tottenham a dramatic 1-0 loss in the last minute of the game. The Seagulls who struck in the 90th minute with a goal from Leandro Trossard had restricted Antonio Conte's men throughout the game. Tottenham stand in 4th place in the EPL table.
Arsenal's 1-0 defeat against Southampton gave way to Manchester United on the Premier League table. A single goal from Jan Bednarek was enough for the Saints to register a victory against the Gunners who slipped to the 6th spot after the loss.
