The FIFA World Cup may still be 5 months away but the excitement among the football fans is about to reach fever pitch already. The demand for the match tickets is extremely high, with 1.2 million already sold according to the organisers.
Qatar World Cup chief organiser Hasan Al-Thawadi revealed that there has been a record-breaking demand for the showpiece event which is happening in the Middle East for the first time.

The organising committee officials also confirmed that there have been about 40 million requests in the two phases of sales.
With a population of 2.4 million in Doha, the Qatari capital is bracing for a huge influx of visitors.
To cater to the huge number of international visitors, the authorities have come up with an array of accommodation facilities, including apartments, tents and caravans.
FIFA World Cup will kick-start on November 21 and the final will be played on December 18.
