Ronald Koeman began his second stint as the Dutch boss by pledging to take the Netherlands back to playing attacking football.
Koeman was first appointed national team coach when the Netherlands failed to qualify for the 2016 Euros and the 2018 World Cup. He led the team to a runner-up finish in the inaugural UEFA Nations League.
But when his dream job of managing Barcelona came calling, Koeman quit the national team and moved back to his old club. But he lasted less than two seasons at Camp Nou.
And now that he’s back with the Oranje, the 59-year-old says he will have to demonstrate that he can be a successful coach at a major tournament.
