Sadio Mane's Senegal defeated Mohamad Salah's Egypt 4-2 in the penalty shootout to win their first African Cup on Sunday.

Senegal had a chance to take an early lead in the game but Mane missed a penalty in the 8th minute.

Thus, the final of the Africa Cup of Nations went into the shootout and this time Mane scored the decisive penalty and made up for the missing early in the game.

Salah was supposed to take his team's final penalty but didn't get a chance in the shootout after two of his teammates missed their shots early.

Senegal had previously lost two finals, including one against Algeria in the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt.
