UEFA Champions League returned with a bang on Tuesday night as we already have the first upset. 2-time champions Chelsea suffered a shock 1-0 defeat against Dinamo Zagreb.
The Croatian champions had a poor record in this competition and had won just five of 43 games before this meeting with Chelsea. But they put the Blues on backfoot in just the 13th minute as Mislav Orsic scored his 18the goal in European competitions for Dinamo Zagreb.
The Blues failed to find an equaliser as Thomas Tuchel's 100th game as Chelsea boss ended in heartbreak.
The other Premier League club Manchester City though had a great outing as they thrashed Sevilla 4-0. Erling Haaland, who is on a dream run in the Premier League, stood out on his Champions League debut for the Citizens as well with a brace.
Paris St-Germain also began theur campaign with a 2-0 victory against Juventus. Both goals were scored by Kylian Mbappe and he now has nine goals in six games for PSG this season.
Defending champions Real Madrid humbled Celtic 3-0 with all 3 goals coming in the second-half. Vinícius Júnior, Luka Modric and Eden Hazard scored a goal each.
