Despite a 1-0 loss against 10-man Inter Milan, Liverpool qualified for the quarterfinals of the Champions League on a 2-1 aggregate win over the Italian club on Tuesday.
This was Liverpool's first defeat at their home ground Anfield in a year.
Liverpool struggled to get into the rhythm while Inter were compact in their movement. But both teams failed to break the deadlock.

Lautaro Martinez gave Inter a 1-0 lead in the 62nd minute and the Italian club had a chance to double the lead. But Alexis Sanchez's red card for a second offense less than two minutes later dealt a fatal blow to Inter's recovery chances, as they were knocked out 2-1 on aggregate.
