Liverpool turned the game on its head as they took a huge leap towards the Champions League quarterfinals after defeating Inter Milan at San Siro on Wednesday in the first leg of the round of 16.
After a shoddy work in the first half and most of the 2nd half, Jurgen Klopp's men took the lead and scored 2 late goals handing the Italian champions a hurtful 2-0 defeat.

While it seemed the game would end in a goalless draw, Roberto Firmino and Mohammad Salah's strikes in the 75th and 83rd minute helped the Reds register their 7th straight win in all competitions.
The hosts who suffered the defeat were competing in the Champions League last 16 for the first time in 10 years. The 2nd leg of this Champions League tie will be played in March at Anfield.
