According to reports, UEFA is poised to impose a one-year ban on Juventus from European competition, effectively crushing the club's aspirations to participate in the upcoming season's Europa Conference League.
Juventus' hopes for European football were already jeopardized last season when they faced a ten-point penalty due to a capital gains scandal, causing them to miss out on a spot in the UEFA Champions League.
Despite finishing in seventh place, which initially presented a potential avenue to European competition, UEFA's decision is expected to shatter those hopes. As a result, Fiorentina is set to take Juventus' spot in the Europa Conference League.
In a statement released on Sunday, Juventus confirmed that they will not contest the decision at the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
