Emre Can scored a spectacular goal from the halfway line in Borussia Dortmund's 2-1 win at VfL Bochum in the German Cup on Wednesday, in a passage of play that Bochum goalkeeper Manuel Riemann will want to forget.
Shortly following a goal kick, Riemann came out of his area to prevent Dortmund's Sebastien Haller from getting on the end of a long ball forward.
However, his attempted clearance after that was far too short, the ball fell for Can and he saw his opportunity.
The former Liverpool and Juventus midfielder didn't quite connect perfectly, giving Reimann the idea that he might be able to undo his mistake, but he ended up sliding into the back of the net... along with the ball.
