Amad Diallo scored the winning goal deep into extra-time of Manchester United's 4-3 win over Liverpool in the FA Cup quarterfinal on Sunday and was then sent off for his ensuing celebration.
The 21-year-old beat goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher in extra time as Liverpool were caught on the break at the end of a dramatic match, but the Ivorian then received a second booking from referee John Brooks for removing his shirt.
United's Scott McTominay had opened the scoring in the tenth minute before goals late in the first half from Alexis Mac Allister and Mo Salah put Liverpool in front, but Antony levelled in the 87th minute to force extra-time.
Harvey Elliott then put Liverpool back in front, but Marcus Rashford's equaliser was followed by Diallo's late heroics to steer 12-time former champions United into a semi-final against Championship side Coventry City.
Victory helped Manchester United keep their trophy hopes alive for this season.
