Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola took a cheeky dig at cross-town rivals Manchester United after the latter's Carabao Cup triumph on Sunday, stating that United have got more money to spend in the market.
"Yeah they (Manchester United) can spend a little money, yeah (laughs). Because they didn't spend isn't it? It's normal in a position that ... you know they're in a position they normally should." Guardiola said.
Guardiola took a further dig referring to both the clubs' recent trophy count as he said that when a team hasn't won a title in five or six years, it is normal to be excited about the win and then compared it to his side's reaction on winning their 4th Carabao Cup in a row, referring to it as "a normal day in the office" for them.
