Wayne Rooney arrived at the Dulles International Airport in the DC area as rumours of him becoming D.C. United's new head coach intensified. Reports say that Rooney and the MLS side have agreed on terms for a new deal.
The former Manchester United star had left English Championship club Derby County last month after an 18-month managerial spell.
The 36-year-old spent two seasons at D.C. United as a player, scoring 23 goals in 48 matches across 2018 and 2019.
