AC Milan and Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has undergone a knee surgery and will be out for up to eight months.
AC Milan released a statement and said, "The operation was a complete success and the prognosis is estimated between 7 and 8 months."
The 40-year old footballer recently helped Milan to win the Serie A title. The Swedish international missed large portions of Milan’s title-winning campaign with an injury.

Ibrahimovic had been struggling with a knee injury in the last couple of months. He last played the full 90 minutes game for Milan in January this year.
Ibrahimovic is Sweden's all-time top scorer with 62 goals. Ibrahimovic has been a part of some of the world's biggest clubs in his career. The Swedish top scorer has won three Serie A titles with AC Milan and has also won the league thrice with Inter.
