It seems like the murmurs about Pakistan skipper Babar Azam likely to relinquish his captaincy might be true.
According to a report in Geo TV, a television channel based in Pakistan, Babar may step down as the captain of white-ball cricket after returning from India.
The Pakistan skipper disappointed by the behaviour of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and former cricketers, some well-informed sources told Geo TV.
As per sources, the 29-year-old has been seeking guidance on his future, consulting with former PCB chairman Ramiz Raja and people close to him.
The decision whether to continue as captain will be influenced by consultations upon his return to the country.
After winning their first 2 games against the Netherlands and Sri Lanka, Pakistan faced losses against India, Australia, South Africa, and Afghanistan, which derailed its ODI World Cup 2023 campaign.
