Team India might not have won the World Cup but the International Cricket Council (ICC) picked 6 Indians in its Team of the Tournament.
Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Ravindra Jadeja, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami were included in the team.
Apart from them, South Africa's Quinton de Kock, New Zealand's Daryl Mitchell, Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell and spinner Adam Zampa and Sri Lanka fast bowler Dilshan Madushanka were also part of the team.
South Africa's Gerald Coetzee was named as the 12th man in the team.
While Virat Kohli finished as the highest run-getter of the tournament, Mohammed Shami ended the World Cup as the leading wicket-taker.
Despite that and being on a 10-match winning run, Rohit's men faltered at the final hurdle and were handed a 6-wicket defeat by Australia in the ultimate showdown.
