As New Zealand gear up to take on an in-form Team India in the Cricket World Cup semifinal in Wankhede on Wednesday, Lockie Ferguson revealed what the Blackcaps need to do this time to pull off a similar result.
'When we started the competition, much like every other team we're here to win it, but of course we know there's a process. We look forward to big tournaments. Obviously this one being in India is pretty spectacular with the fans, the support,' the pacer told ICC.
Ferguson also revealed his team's mindset on how to trouble Rohit Sharma and Co. in Mumbai.
'We've just got to tighten up as much as we can. We’ll adjust to the wicket, see what we think will be a good score, and do our best to defend it. And if we bat first, try to put runs on the board, which we think will be a good score,' he stated.
India was the team to beat in the 2019 World Cup as well and New Zealand knocked out the Men in Blue in the semifinals.
