Rohit Sharma and Co. continued their dream run in the ICC Cricket World Cup as India beat England by 100 runs to register their 6th straight win in the tournament in Lucknow on October 29.
Put in to bat first for the 1st time in the tournament, Indian opener Shubman Gill was sent back to the pavilion early on in the game.
However, skipper Rohit Sharma led from the front with his 101-ball 87 with wickets falling at regular intervals at the other end, including Virat Kohli who was dismissed for a duck for the first time in ODI World Cup.
Suryakumar Yadav also scored 49 runs which helped India set a 230-run total for the Three Lions.
In reply, there was no end to England's struggles as the top order took a tumble courtesy of a Bumrah-Shami show which saw the Three Lions tumble to 52/5 within 16 overs.
Shami finished with 4 wickets followed by Bumrah with 3 on the night.
Liam Livingstone top-scored for the side with 27 as England fell to their 5th defeat of the World Cup.
